Where Does the Funding for Plan Management Come From?
Additional funding is specifically added to your NDIS plan within the ‘Improved Life Choices’ category. This extra funding for Plan Management services is separate and does not impact the budgets allocated to your other supports. If you’d like to request Plan Management funding in your plan, simply reach out to your Local Area Coordinator for guidance.
Fee Transparency and No Hidden Costs:
When it comes to Plan Management, there are no out-of-pocket expenses to you at any time. Once you’ve selected Plan Management, there is nothing further for you to worry about – your plan manager will take care of the rest!
The NDIS sets the same fees to keep things fair, which prevents providers from overcharging or undercutting the market, so no matter who you choose to be your plan manager the cost will be the same! There is a one-time setup fee of $232.35 and then a monthly charge of $104.45. This covers the expenses associated with overseeing NDIS plans and is all taken care of by your plan manager.
Switching Plan Managers?
Did you know that you have the flexibility to change plan managers at any point during your plan’s duration? Even if the set-up fee has already been charged and you’re halfway through your plan, you can simply notify your current plan managers of your wish to cease services and arrange your new provider. It’s as easy as that!
